No, your communication partners do not need any dedicated infrastructure, software, or licences. You can communicate with an unlimited number of people via FTAPI without incurring additional costs. Each external communication partner receives a free guest account from FTAPI, allowing them to securely retrieve and decrypt the data you send. Additionally, they can easily send large or sensitive files to you—for example, via your digital mailbox, known as the SubmitBox.

Your communication partners only need an internet connection—nothing more. No additional software, infrastructure, or other setups are required. For end-to-end encryption, there is no need to exchange complex certificates or manually send passwords. Thanks to automatic key exchange, everything is handled seamlessly and securely.

No, only one party—either the sender or the recipient—needs an FTAPI licence for encrypted email communication.

No, the recipient can provide a secure upload link, known as the SubmitBox, which allows external users to submit encrypted data. The SubmitBox link can be integrated at various touchpoints, such as the contact section of a website or in an email signature.

By default, FTAPI SecuMails encrypts the email attachment. Additionally, at security level 4, both the email attachment and the email body are end-to-end encrypted.

The possibilities are nearly limitless. Essentially, any digital data that is accessible via an interface in the source systems can be processed using an automated workflow. Interfaces such as file systems, REST APIs, FTP, as well as FTAPI products like SecuForms or data rooms, can be integrated.
