Premium virus scanner
Protect your company from malware during data transfers with the FTAPI premium virus scanner. All uploaded files are scanned, system-wide restrictions on allowed file types can be enforced, and the integrated MIME type check ensures strict policy compliance.
End-to-end encryption
FTAPI offers end-to-end encryption for business-critical data in file sharing. Encryption takes place directly on the client side (browser) and can only be decrypted by the authorised recipient. This ensures that no one except the sender and recipient has access to the data – not even FTAPI (zero-knowledge principle).
Single sign-on (SSO)
SSO allows users to authenticate via a range of common providers, including ADFS, BundID, and Google Workspace. This reduces administrative effort while enhancing both security and user experience.
Two-factor authentication (2FA)
Protect user accounts by requiring an additional security code at login. FTAPI supports multiple authentication methods, including smsTAN, TOTP, and email verification.

Companies have no control over which data is shared via WeTransfer. There are no sending rules or blacklist options. With FTAPI, you have access to audit trails that ensure full traceability of exchanged data.
With FTAPI, you can easily and securely send large files via FTAPI SecuMails. You can do this using the Outlook add-in or directly through your browser. Alternatively, you can use FTAPI SecuRooms. These data rooms provide full control over your files, thanks to the included audit trail.
