FTAPI Diaries: Meet our Team­lead Customer Growth Tim

Tim has been leading the Customer Growth Team since January 2024. In this blog, he shares a few insights into his daily work life and explains why he decided to return to FTAPI.

How long have you been with FTAPI, and what is your role?

I’ve had the pleasure of leading the world's greatest Customer Growth Team since 1st January 2024. But FTAPI and I actually have a longer shared history. I first joined as a Junior Sales Manager in the Sales Team in March 2019. A few months later, I transitioned to the Customer Growth department, where I spent two and a half valuable years as a Customer Growth Manager. After a stint with another company, I’m now back—and honestly, I’m really happy to be here again.

Why did you decide to return to FTAPI, and what would you say has changed the most?

There are many reasons I found my way back to FTAPI, but the most important factor is the people. FTAPI has always been a company filled with amazing people. The culture and camaraderie here are truly unique.

Of course, the chance to take the next step in my career and assume a leadership role was also a big draw. I really value the trust placed in me and the freedom to bring my ideas and experience to the table.

FTAPI has grown significantly in recent years. New talents and creative minds have taken the company to the next level, and you can instantly feel the positive energy they bring.

What does our Customer Growth Team do at FTAPI?

Our Customer Growth Team has a central mission: we aim to help our customers unlock the full value of the FTAPI platform, with all its facets and features. It’s not just about generating revenue; we want our customers to find the best possible solutions for their needs and to fully realise the platform’s potential.

What do you enjoy most about your role as Team Lead?

What definitely motivates me is seeing the development of my team members. When they feel they’ve improved after each deal, each month, or each quarter, I know I’m doing my job well. I really enjoy passing on my knowledge and watching my team grow and continuously improve.

I feel especially satisfied when my team reaches its goals—without sacrificing the enjoyment of the work or a healthy work-life balance. Because, in the end, success is not only about reaching the target but about how we achieve it together.

What has been your best moment at FTAPI?

There have been many fantastic moments at FTAPI, but one stands out: after being away for almost two years, I was welcomed back so warmly, as if I had never left. That feeling of belonging and appreciation is something rare—and that’s exactly what makes FTAPI so special for me.
